Menopause is a natural phase of life experienced by millions of women, yet it remains one of the most overlooked and under-discussed areas of health. Too often, women navigate menopause with limited information, inconsistent clinical guidance, and little recognition of how symptoms can affect daily life, work, and long-term health. This Learning Series session will explore menopause as a critical stage of women’s health, bringing greater visibility to the physical, emotional, and social dimensions of this transition.

 

The discussion will examine the wide range of symptoms associated with menopause, including changes affecting cardiovascular health, sleep, cognition, mood, and metabolic function, and the ways these changes can influence quality of life. Panelists will also address disparities in diagnosis, treatment, and access to care, particularly among women from historically underserved communities who may face additional barriers to receiving appropriate support.
