About Us
Get to Know Us
Gwen Lily Research Foundation (GLRF) was established in 2023 to address persistent inequities in healthcare access, research participation, and health outcomes affecting marginalized and underserved communities. The Foundation was created in recognition of longstanding gaps in representation and trust within health and research systems, particularly among communities of color. From its inception, GLRF has focused on advancing community-centered, culturally responsive approaches that connect scientific research with the lived experiences and priorities of the populations most impacted by health disparities.
Mission & Approach
The Gwen Lily Research Foundation advances health equity by supporting, educating, and empowering community-centered research. We work to dismantle structural barriers by uplifting the voices, knowledge, and leadership of historically marginalized populations, particularly Black, Hispanic, Indigenous, and other communities of color. GLRF focuses on building trust, translating research into action, and ensuring that the people most impacted by health inequities are meaningfully involved in shaping research agendas, policies, and solutions. Through public education, community advocacy, and resource connection, we create spaces where equity-driven research can thrive.
