During Pride Month, the Gwen Lily Research Foundation Learning Series will present an important discussion focused on the need for inclusive, affirming, and equitable healthcare for LGBTQ+ communities. Although awareness surrounding LGBTQ+ health has increased in recent years, many individuals still experience significant disparities in access to care, quality of treatment, preventive services, and overall health outcomes. Experiences of stigma, discrimination, and limited provider understanding continue to create barriers that can discourage individuals from seeking timely and appropriate healthcare.
This session, titled Inclusive Care for LGBTQ+ Communities: Health, Dignity, and Access, will examine the structural, clinical, and social factors that contribute to these disparities.
