From Cradle to Legacy: Bridging Generational Gaps in Community Health
Health inequities don’t just affect one stage of life, they are shaped across a lifetime, starting before birth and echoing into older age. This session takes a lifespan approach to exploring how systemic disparities—from maternal mortality to elder care access, are linked by structural racism, social determinants of health, and intergenerational trauma.
Together, we’ll examine what it takes to create communities where health equity is possible at every age, and how we can interrupt cycles of harm through healing-centered policy, practice, and advocacy.
Featured Panelists:
Georgina Dukes-Harris – Health equity advocate and CEO of Swishvo, blending 15+ years in healthcare, tech innovation, and policy to support culturally rooted wellness providers.
Renae Perry – COO at The Senior Source with 30 years of experience championing quality of life for older adults and family caregivers in Dallas.
