About the event

Session Description:

Mental health disparities continue to impact underserved communities, particularly Black and Brown populations, at alarming rates. This session will explore the systemic challenges, cultural stigma, and lack of access to care that create barriers to mental wellness. We’ll also highlight strengths within BIPOC communities and showcase culturally relevant, digital, and community-driven resources that empower individuals and families. Join a dynamic panel of BIPOC digital mental health leaders as we shift the focus from deficits to resilience and action.

Key Topics:

  • The impact of systemic racism, stigma, and poverty on mental health

  • Barriers to care, including lack of cultural competency and institutional mistrust

  • Strength-based approaches and protective factors in BIPOC communities
