In recognition of Disability Pride Month, the Gwen Lily Research Foundation is pleased to present a special encore presentation of one of our most impactful Learning Series discussions, "Access Beyond Ramps: Advancing Health Equity for People who are Differently Abled." This prerecorded session remains as timely and relevant today as when it was originally presented, offering valuable insights into the barriers that continue to affect equitable healthcare access for people with disabilities.
While conversations about accessibility often focus on physical accommodations, true health equity extends far beyond ramps and doorways. This session examines how ableism, policy gaps, communication barriers, and provider bias influence healthcare experiences and outcomes for individuals with physical, intellectual, developmental, and invisible disabilities.
